Quite some time!

Well, it's been a while.....

We are doing well and keeping busy.  Sunday School is finished for the year and I won't be teaching this coming year.  Dave is almost done is second to last semester at uni and has two exams next week.  The last semester is just one class which will be great and then he's done in mid December, has a month off and then starts working in mid January!

I'm still working at the same company and will be there until end of March next year.  After that I'll be at home...Dave and I are expecting our first baby on April 18th God willing!  My parents are planning to come visit for a month after the baby is about 2 weeks old and then my sister and her husband will come in July/August next year.  So we have a lot to look forward to in the coming year!

Hope everyone is settling back into routine after summer.  We are just starting spring here and it's beautiful!

Our Rental Apartment

Well, here it is....the photos of our new apartment just outside the city of Adelaide.  We are loving everything about it...including the pool, hot tub, sauna and exercise room (photos of this to come later)!

We had Dave's parents, Sam McGeorge and Jess Hill help us move...very handy.  We had to go up and down six sets of stairs, no elevator!  Dave hired a "dolly" that had 3 wheels on each side in a triangle made for going up stairs, so that helped a lot!

I can walk to work in 10 minutes, Dave can walk to uni in 25 minutes.  The meeting is a 10-15 minute drive away.

We have a spare room (filled with boxes at the moment but we will have a queen bed in there shortly) so those coming to visit have somewhere to stay!

Enfield Ecclesial Camp

Well, we had a great weekend....cold but great!  Enfield held their ecclesial camp at a site called Hebron that has cabins, a gym, sports field, eating hall and class hall (combined) and washrooms blocks.  It is a fantastic spot, only about a 1/2 hour away from here.

The theme for the weekend was Prayer and Meditation.  Dave and I were teaching the 12-14 year olds and really enjoyed it!  It is very different to teaching the 3-4 year olds for sunday school that I do each week.  The first session we covered meditation getting them to use the concordance and looking up verses.  The second session we covered prayer and focused on the Lord's prayer.  In session 3 we did some bible inserts, one on meditation and one on Hannah's prayer.  Then the fourth session we had a quiz game of boys against girls.

Here are some pics of the kids doing their inserts.  The girls were quick and neat, the boys were slower, talked a lot more and not so neat.....surprised?

In our next post you'll get to see our new rental abode......that's all I'll say, just keep you in suspense until then!

A New Addition.....

Well, Wednesday last week Dave's mom decided it was about time they had another kitten!  So off to the shop she went with Dave...after trying to tell Dave's Dad that he and Dave should go...HA!

When I came home from work, the surprise was a little black furball named Shadow.  She is 8 weeks old, very cute, short haired (which is good, so hopefully my allergies don't start up) and pretty well behaved.  She loves to sleep on our laps and climb our legs (bare or otherwise - *ouch*).

Just some picks for you to enjoy!
